Torrents: Art on Main Street Hosts Closing Reception for “Spellbound” — A Fundraising Exhibition for VonCommon Studios

Torrents: Art on Main Street is celebrating the closing of their recent group exhibition, Spellbound, a fundraiser for VonCommon Studios, on Thursday, September 26th from 6–8pm. The evening will feature a special artist talk and short story reading at 7pm, bringing the exhibition’s exploration of the power of words and images to life one final time.

Spellbound celebrates the enchanting interplay between language and art. Words hold power—they conjure worlds, weave illusions, and cast spells of imagination. This exhibition invites artists to explore the captivating space where text and image intertwine, transforming the written word into a visual incantation.

Featured artists include: Amy Doty, Jessie Smith, Danny Walton, Dianne and Nick Beasley, Grace Wolcott, Huckleberry Hen, Isabelle Hoecherl, Josh Harteis, Julee Hall, Kaitlynn Webster, Korey Bell, lady pajama, Lark Sanders, Lauren Grove, Michele Angelique Ernst, Morgan Grau, The Magician, Thread Parade, and UmamiMami Creations.

Proceeds from Spellbound benefit VonCommon Studios, a nonprofit artist collective that has provided affordable, collaborative studio space for Missoula’s creative community for over a decade. Supporting this exhibition directly contributes to sustaining and expanding VonCommon’s mission of fostering artistic growth and accessibility.
